About Brenovia

01

What Brenovia is

Brenovia is an independent information resource about the support available to families in South Africa. It explains, in plain language, the kinds of everyday help families look for, how to reach legitimate official channels, and how to stay safe from the scams that target people seeking assistance.

02

Why it exists

Information about family support is often scattered, hard to follow, or mixed in with offers that are not what they seem. Brenovia sets out to gather the practical points in one calm, clear place — what kinds of help exist, where to look for them, and how to avoid being misled — so that families can find their way to genuine assistance more easily.

03

What it publishes

The material is a set of short, plain-language notes on:

  • what family support means and the forms it can take;
  • the everyday needs families most often look to cover;
  • where to find legitimate, official help — and that it is free;
  • making a household budget work;
  • recognising and avoiding grant and support scams.
04

What it is not

Brenovia is strictly informational. It is not affiliated with the South African government, SASSA or any state body; it does not administer, approve or pay any grant or benefit; it takes no applications; and it does not collect personal, identity or banking information. Nothing here is legal, financial or social-welfare advice. To apply for support, always use official channels, where applying is free. The images on the site are illustrative.
